MRs. Tessa Adame

Hi there! My name is Mrs. Adame (formerly Ms. Marley), and I’m so excited to be teaching first grade this year at India Hook Elementary! This will be my seventh year teaching first grade, and I can’t wait to see what new adventures this school year will bring!

This year is especially exciting because I recently got married and am thrilled to be starting the school year with my new last name, Mrs. Adame!

I’m originally from Castle Rock, Colorado, and I moved to South Carolina in 2014. I graduated from the University of South Carolina Beaufort with a degree in Early Childhood Education and an add-on certification in Elementary Education.

Outside of the classroom, I love traveling, crafting, and spending time with my family. My husband and I enjoy exploring new places together, especially when our sweet dog gets to come along for the adventure!

I believe children learn best by doing. In our classroom, students are encouraged to be creative, ask questions, and engage in hands-on learning experiences every day. My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn!

I can’t wait to see all the amazing growth your students will make. It’s going to be a wonderful year in first grade!
