5th grade is such an exciting year and I look forward to working with each of you!

A little about me! My husband, Michael, stepson Eli (13), two dogs, Haddie and Sullie, and hedge hog, Bramble live in Fort Mill! As a Fort Mill native, I have loved starting my own family in the town where I grew up! This will be my 14th year teaching! In 2013, I received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Winthrop University (GO EAGLES!). During my senior year at Winthrop, I completed my internship at India Hook, and after graduating, joined the Pirate staff as a 4th grade teacher! I taught 4th grade for two years before moving to 5th grade. 5th grade is truly special, and I love being part of making my students last year of elementary school a memorable one! I take immense pride in my job as an educator, and I truly love what I do. I believe open communication is key to building and fostering positive relationships. When I am not at school, I like to walk, read, and spend time with my family! I am learning to play Mahjong and enjoy other games as well! I am always up for some friendly competition during stem bin time in the classroom! Here’s to a great year in 5th grade! Let’s go Pirates!
